CVX & XOM Focus on Reducing Emissions<\/p>\n

Other leading integrated energy giants Chevron Corporation CVX<\/a> and Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM<\/a> are actively advancing initiatives to improve air quality.<\/p>\n

Chevron is reducing emissions by investing in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies to trap carbon dioxide underground. CVX is increasing its production of renewable fuels, including biodiesel, renewable natural gas and hydrogen, to help reduce emissions.<\/p>\n

Like BP, ExxonMobil has established its own low carbon solutions business. Through this division, XOM is building large-scale CCS facilities along the U.S. Gulf Coast, a vital energy-producing corridor, to safely capture and isolate industrial emissions.<\/p>\n

BP shares have gained 42.7% over the past year compared with the 44.5% growth of the industry<\/a>.<\/p>\n
