Kinéis contributes high-resolution satellite-based AIS coverage via its constellation of 25 nanosatellites, extending reach into remote ocean regions that are difficult to monitor through traditional means.

Meanwhile, Wood Mackenzie Vesseltracker brings its rapidly expanding network of more than 3,400 AIS receiver stations, which currently captures vessel activity from over 95% of commercial port visits globally.

The Vessel Tracking data is accessible through the new API and has also been integrated natively within LSEG Workspace and Interactive Map. This allows clients to analyse shipping activity alongside their wider market data and existing workflows, providing a unified view of maritime and commodities intelligence.

Read the daily FinTech news

Copyright © 2026 FinTech Global

Investors

The following investor(s) were tagged in this article.

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has unveiled a new Vessel Tracking API, developed in collaboration with satellite operator…

[21266
25791,21835,11055,25792,709,25793,9581,11151,25794,12613,23117,25795,25796,25797,25798,25799
post-51934","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-london-stock-exchange-group","tag-ais-data","tag-commodities","tag-data-analytics","tag-enterprise-data","tag-fintech","tag-kineis","tag-london-stock-exchange-group","tag-lseg","tag-maritime-data","tag-real-time-data","tag-regtech","tag-satellite-technology","tag-shipping-analytics","tag-vessel-tracking","tag-wood-mackenzie","tag-wood-mackenzie-vesseltracker
["GET
