Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a woman was sexually assaulted on the London Underground<\/a> At 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 29 the victim was on board a District line<\/a> Tube train when a man attacked her as he stepped off at Putney Bridge<\/a> station.<\/p>\n

Officers have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. He is Black; and wearing a black graphic hoodie, navy jeans and black and white trainers.<\/p>\n

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact the British Transport Police. A spokesperson said: “Officers investigating a sexual assault on a train in South West London have released images of a man they would like to speak to.<\/p>\n

“At around 6.30pm on Wednesday, April 29 the victim was on board a District Line<\/a> train when a man sexually assaulted her as he left the train at Putney Bridge Underground station. Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 645 of 29 April. Information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”<\/p>\n
