Summer is well on its way, so many Londoners<\/a> will be on the lookout for the best places to drink and dine al fresco.<\/p>\n Metro recently shared the capital\u2019s best terrace<\/a> for cocktails<\/a> in the sunshine<\/a>, but if it\u2019s a garden you\u2019re after, there are plenty of green spots to enjoy.<\/p>\n And for those who are especially bougie, one of the city\u2019s fanciest secret gardens is about to reopen to the public.\u00a0<\/p>\n Here\u2019s everything you need to know about it\u2026<\/p>\n Where is London\u2019s \u2018most luxurious\u2019 secret garden?<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tWelcome to the Slice\t\t\t<\/p>\n The Slice<\/a> is your weekly guide to what\u2019s happening in\u00a0London<\/a>, so if you\u2019re looking for restaurant<\/a> reviews,\u00a0drinks<\/a>\u00a0deals or just a great new exhibition to visit on a rainy Saturday in the capital, we\u2019ve got you covered.<\/p>\n We\u2019ll be in your inbox every week, bringing you expert reviews, exclusive deals and the latest events.\u00a0Sign up here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Located at The Ritz <\/a>in London, the garden is quite literally called The Secret Garden.<\/p>\n The iconic five-star hotel <\/a>is often hailed as one of the world\u2019s \u2018most luxurious\u2019 places to stay and has regularly been crowned the best hotel in Europe<\/a>. And its outside space is just as special as the inside.<\/p>\n It only opens at certain times of the year, and for 2026, the garden will be open once again from June 8.\u00a0<\/p>\n But to gain access, you\u2019ll need to make sure you\u2019re dressed correctly, as it has a dress code, which is smart casual.<\/p>\n On the hotel\u2019s website, it states that \u2018shorts, ripped jeans, trainers and sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel\u2019s restaurants or bars\u2019. <\/p>\n If you\u2019re wearing any of these, you won\u2019t be allowed in \u2013 and they\u2019re very strict about this rule. <\/p>\n \t\t Inside the garden, The Ritz says you\u2019ll find an \u2018ethereal\u2019 mix of flowers and grasses, with everything from hydrangeas to white wisteria.\u00a0<\/p>\n There\u2019s also a water feature, and plenty of seating with parasols and canopies to protect guests from the sun.<\/p>\n And for those sitting in the garden as twilight approaches, there will be cashmere throws from Johnstons of Elgin available to keep you warm.<\/p>\n Designed by Marcus Barnett Studio and David Collins Studio, the garden is described as a \u2018secluded oasis\u2019 that\u2019s inspired by quintessential English gardens.<\/p>\n \t\t Guests can get to the garden through the hotel\u2019s Arlington Street entrance, and anyone is able to visit, not just those staying at The Ritz.<\/p>\n The garden will be open daily throughout the summer (weather permitting), serving up a menu of cocktails, champagne, and wines, including the newly launched Ritz 120 cocktail, in celebration of the hotel\u2019s 120th anniversary.<\/p>\n This drink combines Gold-Infused Belvedere Organic Vodka, Grand Marnier, The Newt English Ice\u00a0Cyder, Manzana Verde, and Champagne Barons de Rothschild \u2018R\u00e9serve Ritz\u2019 Brut.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Ritz\u2019s restaurant<\/a> was named the UK\u2019s best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards earlier this year, and you\u2019ll be able to try some of the \u2018elevated fare\u2019 in the garden.\u00a0<\/p>\n A selection of small plates, sandwiches<\/a>, meat and fish dishes, and desserts will be available. Highlights include a Dorset<\/a> Crab Brioche Roll, and the Red Mullet with Ratatouille and Bouillabaisse, while desserts range from The Ritz Vanilla Trifle to a Caramelised Banana and Chocolate Flan.<\/p>\n If that weren\u2019t enough, there will also be live entertainment on Thursday and Friday evenings, all day Saturday, and Sunday lunchtime.<\/p>\n Reservations will be available daily from 11am to 11pm, but a visit here likely won\u2019t come cheap. It was a wonderful experience, and the staff treated her like a princess. They even bought out a small birthday cake for her, which was a lovely gesture.<\/p>\n \u2018The secret garden was a lovely location in the hotel grounds, kept warm in the evening with gas lanterns. Although the menu is expensive, you get what you pay for, and the overall experience was worth every penny.\u2019<\/p>\n Similarly, Jim L shared: \u2018We love\u00a0the\u00a0Rivoli Bar in\u00a0the\u00a0Ritz Hotel, London, so when we found out\u00a0the\u00a0Secret\u00a0Garden\u00a0was reopening, we had to visit as soon as possible.
