{"id":55653,"date":"2026-06-04T00:01:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T00:01:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/55653\/"},"modified":"2026-06-04T00:01:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T00:01:15","slug":"pgz-bae-win-uk-poland-award-for-artillery-ammunition-factory-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/55653\/","title":{"rendered":"PGZ, BAE Win UK-Poland Award for Artillery Ammunition Factory Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/dronefront.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">&#13;<br \/>\n    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsAppVideo2026-05-15at09.23.58.gif\" alt=\"The Drone Front\" width=\"1280\" height=\"539\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) and BAE Systems have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/article\/pgz-and-bae-systems-win-uk-poland-collaboration-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">received<\/a> a British-Polish business award for their partnership to establish a 155mm artillery ammunition production facility in Poland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The British Embassy in Warsaw and the British Polish Chamber of Commerce presented the British-Polish Collaboration Award to the two defense companies, citing their contribution to security cooperation and industrial development between London and Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project combines BAE Systems\u2019 ammunition expertise with PGZ\u2019s industrial infrastructure in Poland.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The planned facility is intended to boost local production while creating opportunities for technology transfer, skills development, and future cooperation on other munitions and energetic materials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am confident that this collaboration will continue to develop in a direction beneficial to both sides and, above all, the Polish Armed Forces and the Polish defence industry,\u201d PGZ\u2019s management board president Adam Leszkiewicz said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recognition comes less than a year after PGZ and BAE Systems signed a strategic partnership agreement in September 2025 to increase Poland\u2019s domestic ammunition production, a capability that has become increasingly important as European countries seek to replenish stockpiles and expand manufacturing capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Polish Defense Builds International Partnerships<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PGZ-BAE Systems venture is part of a broader trend of Polish defense firms partnering with foreign companies to expand manufacturing capacity and acquire new technologies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March, PGZ and WB Group signed cooperation agreements with Saab to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/03\/13\/saab-poland-defense-partnerships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">support submarine maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities<\/a> under Poland\u2019s Orka submarine program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That same month, WB Group and Tantalit partnered with Nordic Air Defence to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/03\/18\/nordic-air-defence-expands-poland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">explore integration and production of the K100XR drone interceptor<\/a> within their counter-drone and command-and-control ecosystems.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PGZ also signed an agreement with Milrem Robotics to <a href=\"https:\/\/thedefensepost.com\/2026\/03\/24\/milrem-robotics-pgz-defense-cooperation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">jointly develop advanced defense technologies<\/a>, combining expertise in robotics, manufacturing, and systems integration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#13;
