{"id":55928,"date":"2026-06-04T09:08:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T09:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/55928\/"},"modified":"2026-06-04T09:08:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T09:08:13","slug":"manex-properties-secures-planning-for-second-amano-in-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/55928\/","title":{"rendered":"Manex Properties secures planning for second AMANO in London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\tReading Time:   2 minutes<\/p>\n<p>UK: Manex Properties, the joint venture between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amanogroup.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AMANO Group<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/excellioncapital.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Excellion Capital<\/a>, has secured planning permission to transform Waterman House, 41 Kingsway, into a 73-key boutique AMANO hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly an office building, Waterman House will now be redeveloped into a boutique hotel featuring 73 guestrooms alongside a new ground-floor food retail concept.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The consent granted by Westminster City Council feature upgrades from the original plans <a href=\"https:\/\/boutiquehotelnews.com\/news\/finance-and-investment\/amano-acquires-waterman-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">announced at acquisition<\/a> in September 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The property is located close to AMANO Covent Garden, with the two hotels set to be operated by one team. On completion, the expanded AMANO\u2019s estate in London will reach \u00a3150 million. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Philip Rokeach, director, <a href=\"https:\/\/boutiquehotelnews.com\/?s=AMANO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AMANO Group<\/a>, said:\u00a0\u201cOur vision to bring Berlin\u2019s flair to London was already validated by the exceptional performance of Hotel AMANO Covent Garden. Securing planning consent for Waterman House was an important next step in expanding our AMANO brand in the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Robert Stafler, director at AMANO UK and Manex Properties, added:\u00a0\u201cSecuring planning permission is a major milestone. The approval enables our office-to-hotel conversion and increases the room count to 73 keys. It improves building design, operational functionality and street-level presence.
