{"id":56767,"date":"2026-06-05T11:50:01","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T11:50:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/56767\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T11:50:01","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T11:50:01","slug":"natwest-increases-rates-aldermore-withdraws-products-mortgage-finance-gazette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/56767\/","title":{"rendered":"NatWest increases rates, Aldermore withdraws products \u2013 Mortgage Finance Gazette"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NatWest has become the latest lender to announce rate increases to its new business, existing customer and additional borrowing product ranges, effective tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t <img width=\"620\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/wooden-houses-620x330.jpg\" class=\"attachment-slider-large size-slider-large wp-post-image\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"   alt=\"wooden-houses-620x330.jpg\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Two-year fixed purchase rates ranging between 60% and 95% loan-to-value (LTV) have increased by up to 35 basis points, with the majority going up by 25bps.<\/p>\n<p>The 60% LTV two-year fixed purchase has gone up from 3.72% to 3.97% and has a product fee of \u00a31,495, while the\u00a0 95% LTV two-year fixed purchase has risen from 4.7% to 5.07% with no fee.<\/p>\n<p>The lender\u2019s five-year fixed purchase rates have risen between 60% and 95% LTV by up to 0.30%, including the 95% LTV which has been hiked by 4.79% to 5.09% with no fee and the 60% LTV which is going up by 25bps to 4.32% also with no fee.<\/p>\n<p>Remortgage rates will also rise. The two-year fixed rate remortgage 60% LTV with no fee will rise from 4.13% to 4.38%, the two-year 75% with a fee of \u00a31,495 has been lifted from 3.89% to 4.09%.<\/p>\n<p>Five-year fixed remortgage rates have also been hiked. The 60% LTV with a fee of \u00a3995 has gone up by 25bps to 4.19% and the 60% LTV with a fee of \u00a31,495 has been lifted 25bps to 4.14%.<\/p>\n<p>First-time buyer two- and five-year fixed remortgage rates have also increased by as much as 25bps while shared equity two- and five-year fixed rates have gone up by the same amount and green rates on two- and five-year fixed rates on purchase and remortgage have risen by 25bps.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"image nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mortgagestrategy.co.uk\/news\/natwest-for-intermediaries-relaxes-credit-score-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\">NatWest<\/a> has also increased rates on buy-to-let (BTL) two- and five-year fixed rate purchase and remortgage products.<\/p>\n<p>The BTL two-year fixed purchase at 75% LTV with a fee of \u00a33,499 has risen by 25bps to 3.88% and the 75% LTV with a fee of \u00a33,999 has been lifted from 3.38% to 3.63%.<\/p>\n<p>Five-year fixed remortgage rates at 75% LTV with a fee of \u00a35,999 have risen by 25bps to 4.19% and the 60% LTV with a fee of \u00a35,999 has gone up from 3.66% to 3.91%.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, standalone additional borrowing rates have been hiked by up to 25bps across two- and five-year fixes.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, Aldermore announced that it would be withdrawing two- and three-year fixed rates across its residential owner occupied, buy-to-let and product switch mortgage range.<\/p>\n<p>Aldermore said it would be launching new product ranges on 13 March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NatWest has become the latest lender to announce rate increases to its new business, existing customer and additional&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":56768,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_share_on_mastodon":"0"},"categories":[21386],"tags":[27751,7955],"class_list":["post-56767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-natwest","tag-aldermore","tag-natwest"],"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@UnitedKingdom\/116697354953574497","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/56767","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=56767"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/56767\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/56768"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=56767"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=56767"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=56767"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
