Violet Grohl has announced an extra headline show in London for her upcoming tour due to high demand.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles-based musician and daughter of\u00a0Foo Fighters<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0Dave Grohl <\/a>released her debut solo album \u2018Be Sweet\u00a0To\u00a0Me<\/a>\u2019 last week (May 29) via Aurora Records, including the singles \u2018THUM<\/a>\u2019, \u2018Applefish<\/a>\u2019, \u2018595<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018Cool Buzz<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

In April, she announced a string of headline US,\u00a0UK\u00a0and European headline tour dates, including a show\u00a0in\u00a0London\u2019s Camden Assembly, but now she has confirmed she will play two dates at the venue due to outstanding demand.<\/p>\n

Her UK dates will now kick off in Manchester\u2019s Deaf Institute on August 25, followed by Glasgow\u2019s King Tuts the following night, and two nights at the Camdem Assembly on September 1 and 2.<\/p>\n

While in Europe, she also plays shows in Berlin,\u00a0Cologne\u00a0and Paris, and will also make appearances at\u00a0Reading and Leeds Festivals<\/a>,\u00a0Electric Picnic in Ireland\u00a0and\u00a0Pukkelpop\u00a0in Belgium.<\/p>\n

Grohl said earlier this year that\u00a0she didn\u2019t like male musicians her age<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like male musicians my age \u2013 I don\u2019t care,\u201d she said. \u201cThey have attitude problems. They\u2019ve been saying this about us for so fucking long \u2013 it\u2019s time that they sit down, be quiet and play their music.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best advice I\u2019ve been given is that it\u2019s OK to say no or that you don\u2019t want to do something,\u201d she continued. \u201cFor a lot of women, it took them a really long time to accept and implement that into their lives. It\u2019s inspiring to be around the kinds of people who don\u2019t give a fuck and will say whatever they feel.\u201d<\/p>\n
