The company has produced electric propulsion systems for ground vehicles for more than 25 years and has developed flight control systems for military and commercial aircraft for more than 40 years.

Those programmes, the company says, require integrating complex hardware and software, anticipating failure modes in safety-critical systems, and navigating rigorous certification standards. These are capabilities the company believes are essential as the aviation industry shifts toward electric propulsion.

The Endicott facility is expected to serve as a central hub for advancing those technologies, positioning the region as part of the growing effort to make air travel more efficient.

Featured image: BAE Systems

This post was sponsored by BAE Systems

Sign up for our newsletter and get our latest content in your
inbox.

Sign up for our newsletter and get our latest content in your inbox.
