THE Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has recently approved the applications of Citicore Solar Negros Occidental 2 Inc. and Amatera Renewable Energy Corp. to connect to the national grid.<\/p>\n
Citicore Solar Negros Occidental 2 Inc. will link its 30-megawatt-alternating current (MWac) Silay 2A and 20.1-MWac Silay 2B solar power projects in Silay, Negros Occidental, to the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines\u2019 (NGCP) Bacolod-Silay 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Amatera Renewable Energy Corp. will connect its 50.1-MWac Vista Alegre Solar Power Project to NGCP\u2019s 69-kV Bacolod substation.<\/p>\n
Citicore\u2019s facilities include transformers, a 69-kV switchyard and a 100-meter, 69-kV single circuit transmission line, while Amatera\u2019s equipment consist of a 60-megavolt-amperes, 22\/69-kV, solar photovoltaic power plant takeoff substation and a 1.55-kilometer, 69-kV, double circuit line.<\/p>\n
Total cost of Citicore\u2019s transmission facilities is P133 million, while that of Amatera is P497.50 million.<\/p>\n
