Reset Connect London: Six Stages<\/p>\n
Taking place at Excel London<\/a>, Reset Connect will provide sustainably focused business owners and innovators with a platform to showcase their net-zero strategies and tools. In the words of the Corporate Communications Director for BMW Group<\/a>, the event is \u201ca good opportunity to gather thoughts together from lots of experts in one place at one time and to have a conversation about how can we decarbonise our world.\u201d<\/p>\n Following the\u00a0 Reset Connect North<\/a> event in March, Reset Connect London will feature over 300 exhibitors, 2,500 investors, and 7,500 professionals across the sustainability, finance, and energy sectors. On day one, there will be a discussion on \u201cHow Private Capital is Powering Climate & Sustainability Innovation\u201d led by Akhil Shah, Director of Climate Tech, Sustainable Finance & Transition at HSBC UK<\/a>. On day two,\u00a0 Terri Bloore, Managing Partner for Corporate & Financial Services at FINN Partners<\/a>, will moderate a talk on \u201cCan Purpose Deliver Profit? The CFO\u2019s Role in Driving Green Growth.\u201d Further discussions are centered around \u201cIgniting a New Era of Proactive Climate Finance\u201d and \u201cBalancing Societal and Financial Risk and the Importance of Impact Investing.\u201d<\/p>\n Stage 3: Cities & Infrastructure<\/a><\/p>\n The aim of this stage is \u201cbuilding the resilient urban environments of\u00a0 tomorrow.\u201d Key discussions include: \u201cCreating Resilient Cities Through Sustainable Transport and Travel,\u201d \u201cRetrofitting and Building Sustainable Housing for a Decarbonised Future,\u201d and \u201cHow Can the UK Tackle the Plastic Crisis?\u201d<\/p>\n Stage 4: Energy & Tech<\/a><\/p>\n Without technology, the net-zero transition would be at a standstill. Reset Connect\u2019s Energy & Tech stage will feature panels around the systems and software powering the shift. The discussion around \u201cThe Next Wave of Clean Energy\u201d will include Wafa Jafri, UK Head of Energy Strategy & Global Lead for Energy Transition at KPMG UK<\/a>, and Carl Trowell, President of UK Strategic Infrastructure at National Grid<\/a>. Lewis Richards, the CTO of Energy at Microsoft<\/a>, will join others in speaking about \u201cThe AI Powerhouse: Building the UK\u2019s Green Data Future.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n From biodiversity to sustainable food, the Nature-Based Solutions stage hopes to present businesses with a path to net zero while investing in natural landscapes across the UK. Speakers include Dean Cooper, the Global Energy Lead for the WWF<\/a>, and Samir Whitaker, the Biodiversity Lead at \u00d8rsted<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stage 6: Pitch & Invest<\/a><\/p>\n This stage is considered the \u201claunchpad for the next generation of climate-tech innovators.\u201d Alice Ingram, the Innovation & Growth Specialist at Innovate UK Business Connect<\/a>, and Katharine Paterson, the Senior Innovation and Growth Specialist at RTC North<\/a>, will lead panels in urban regeneration, tech and AI, and corporate sustainability.
