He sadly died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Eghosa\u2019s family are aware of the latest developments and are being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A murder investigation is ongoing and yesterday (Saturday, April 4) officers arrested two teenagers in Woolwich on suspicion of murder. The 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man remain in custody.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Forensic officers at the scene of the fatal shooting\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1_01KNA004EFJFWFBQ5M4RGSH1D4.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p aria-label=\"Forensic officers at the scene of the fatal shooting\" class=\"ImageCaption_caption-title__ccyQU\" data-testid=\"caption-title\">Forensic officers at the scene of the fatal shooting<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Two boys, aged 14 and 16, plus an 18-year-old man, who were previously arrested on Friday, April 3 in connection with Eghosa\u2019s death, have since been granted bail while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, whose team is leading the investigation, said: \u201cOur team of dedicated detectives are continuing enquiries to investigate Eghosa\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cResidents in Woolwich may have noticed a large amount of police activity last night, as officers arrested three further people in connection with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cWe appreciate the concern that Eghosa\u2019s death has caused, particularly among the local community who will continue to see an increased police presence around the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cThere may be people who have heard information or witnessed suspicious activity in the area but not yet contacted police.
