Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder as police continue to investigate the fatal shooting of young boy in South East London.<\/p>\n
Eghosa Ogbebor, 14, was shot to death in Lord Warwick Street, Woolwich, on the afternoon of Thursday, April 2.<\/p>\n
Officers were called at 3.40pm and quickly arrived on the scene, alongside paramedics from London Ambulance Service, where they found Eghosa with serious injuries. He sadly died at the scene.<\/p>\n
Eghosa\u2019s family are aware of the latest developments and are being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n
A murder investigation is ongoing and yesterday (Saturday, April 4) officers arrested two teenagers in Woolwich on suspicion of murder. The 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old man remain in custody.<\/p>\n

A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody.<\/p>\n
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, plus an 18-year-old man, who were previously arrested on Friday, April 3 in connection with Eghosa\u2019s death, have since been granted bail while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n
Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, whose team is leading the investigation, said: \u201cOur team of dedicated detectives are continuing enquiries to investigate Eghosa\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n
\u201cResidents in Woolwich may have noticed a large amount of police activity last night, as officers arrested three further people in connection with the investigation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate the concern that Eghosa\u2019s death has caused, particularly among the local community who will continue to see an increased police presence around the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere may be people who have heard information or witnessed suspicious activity in the area but not yet contacted police. We urge these people to contact us and assist with the investigation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will continue to support and update Eghosa\u2019s family as the investigation continues and our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
