Soulwax<\/a>\u00a0have postponed their appearance at London\u2019s Southbank Centre tonight (June 21) due to \u201cunforeseen circumstances\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Belgian duo had been scheduled to play at the Royal Festival Hall as part of\u00a0the Harry Styles-curated Meltdown Festival<\/a>, with Pauli The PSM also on the bill. Tonight marks the final night of the programme, which kicked off on June 11.<\/p>\n

Ticketholders were informed this afternoon, however, that the event had been postponed, with\u00a0organisers\u00a0saying they were \u201ccontinuing to work with the artist to reschedule the performance\u201d.\u00a0They\u00a0said they would be back to\u00a0customers\u00a0in due course\u00a0with any further information.<\/p>\n

Styles\u2019 curation of the annual event included a number of big names from alternative music, including Warpaint<\/a>, who opened proceedings on June 11,\u00a0Stephen Fretwell<\/a>,\u00a0Nil\u00fcfer Yanya<\/a>,\u00a0Orlando Weeks<\/a>,\u00a0Bar Italia<\/a>,\u00a0Dev Hynes<\/a>,\u00a0Jon Hopkins<\/a>,\u00a0Getdown Services<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0LCD Soundsystem<\/a>\u2018s\u00a0James Murphy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Styles himself played on June 16 alongside the Jules Buckley Orchestra and the House Gospel\u00a0Choir<\/a>, and\u00a0described the entire Meltdown event\u00a0as \u201dan\u00a0incredibly special week for me\u201d.<\/p>\n

Soulwax, made up of\u00a0brothers David and Stephen\u00a0Dewaele,\u00a0returned after a\u00a0seven year\u00a0break with\u00a0their new album \u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019 in October<\/a>, a record they first teased with billboards around London.<\/p>\n

Described as a \u201clive, loud and loose\u201d album built from electronic instruments rather than guitars, it included the singles \u2018New Earth Time<\/a>\u2019, \u2018Gimme A Reason<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018Meanwhile On The Continent<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0as well as\u00a0classic \u2018Nite Version\u2019 remix versions<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0it\u00a0was followed by\u00a0a UK and European tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In February,\u00a0they announced the first ever \u2018After Hours\u2019 rave at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London<\/a>, which gave 300 fans the chance to hear freshly recorded music in rare circumstances at the historic venue.<\/p>\n
