Hundreds of emotional well-wishers attended her funeral in March.<\/p>\n<p>During her inquest today, held at Buckinghamshire Coroner&#8217;s Court, the coroner revealed he will be issuing a prevention of future deaths report to her former landlords following the tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>The court heard how her black Audi A1 was parked in neutral with the handbrake fully engaged but began to slip as she stood behind it unloading her belongings.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bucksfreepress.co.uk\/news\/26220250.high-wycombe-student-crushed-death-car-inquest-finds\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bucks Free Press<\/a>, police officers at the scene noted that the \u201csloped\u201d driveway was covered in ice after wintry weather, making it \u201cvery slippery\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 785 759\" alt=\"Eleisha Skinner, from Faversham, was described as a &quot;beautiful soul&quot; who had an &quot;infectious smile&quot;\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"Q4ENE04MPHM5CT2B50TM.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.03\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Q4ENE04MPHM5CT2B50TM.jpg\" alt=\"Eleisha Skinner, from Faversham, was described as a &quot;beautiful soul&quot; who had an &quot;infectious smile&quot;\"\/>Eleisha Skinner, from Faversham, was described as a &#8220;beautiful soul&#8221; who had an &#8220;infectious smile&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The driveway had not been salted or gritted, and there was no barrier or railings in place to stop \u201coverrun\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Landlords Howarth Property, who have since installed barriers, wrote in a letter to the coroner that inspections of the property determined that the driveway was assessed as safe.<\/p>\n<p>Their statement also said that implementing fixed guarding would \u201cintroduce its own serious risk\u201d by creating a trap between a moving vehicle and an immovable structure.<\/p>\n<p>As such, the statement added, it could \u201cpotentially cause greater harm than would have occurred in its current absence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Barriers have since been installed at the home.<\/p>\n<p>Eleisha\u2019s cause of death was found to be an anoxic brain injury due to asphyxia compression, meaning pressure on her body prevented her from breathing properly.<\/p>\n<p>Coroner Crispin Butler issued a prevention of future deaths report to Howarth Property amid concerns that an \u201cincident could arise where another individual could die\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 564 401\" alt=\"The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died before work was done\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"6WAP8PLIEW8Q3UQUV0SH.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.41\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/6WAP8PLIEW8Q3UQUV0SH.jpg\" alt=\"The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died before work was done\"\/>The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died before work was done<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 1694 1211\" alt=\"The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died after the safety work was carried out\" data-root=\"\/_media\/img\/\" data-path=\"83VYOO8CO7V9E2CWYO0R.jpg\" data-ar=\"1.40\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/83VYOO8CO7V9E2CWYO0R.jpg\" alt=\"The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died after the safety work was carried out\"\/>The driveway where Eleisha Skinner died after the safety work was carried out<\/p>\n<p>The firm has 56 days to say what action has been taken.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Butler offered a conclusion of accidental death.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking to KentOnline after the inquest, Eleisha\u2019s mum Claire Skinner said she felt it \u201cwas an accident that could have been prevented\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy family and I want people to be accountable for this,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thankful for everyone\u2019s hard work, but I will be seeking legal advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A star pupil with a passion for learning, Eleisha thrived at school in Faversham, attending St Mary\u2019s Primary School and later The Abbey.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 693 638\" alt=\"Eleisha Skinner with her dad Nigel.
