Lloyds Banking Group has confirmed the locations of its bank branches across the UK due to close between now and March 2027.<\/p>\n
The high street<\/a> bank announced plans to shut another 95 locations in its branch network back in February, with the closures getting underway last month. The closures<\/a> include branches across its Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland brands, with all 95 locations due to be shut by March next year. The banking group<\/a> said the closures will provide customers with more freedom and choice to bank \u201cin a way that works for them\u201d, marking a shift towards digital banking.<\/p>\n The closures include 53 Lloyds Bank<\/a>, 31 Halifax<\/a> and 11 Bank of Scotland sites across the UK.<\/p>\n Cash access network Link said 14 new locations will receive a banking hub to protect access to cash across the country.<\/p>\n These hubs are shared spaces operated by staff at different banks on different days, providing customers with services like cash withdrawals, paying bills and depositing cash.<\/p>\n Confirming the closures earlier this year, a spokeswoman for Lloyds said: \u201cCustomers want the freedom to bank in the way that works for them and we offer more choice and ways to manage money than ever before.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom our leading apps and 24\/7 messaging service to local banking options like our community bankers, PayPoint and access to all of our Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland branches, we\u2019re giving our customers the flexibility to bank wherever and whenever they need us.\u201d<\/p>\n Once the 95 closures have been completed, Lloyds will have 610 branches remaining in total by March next year.<\/p>\n As a result of the closures, Nationwide will overtake Lloyds Banking Group to have the biggest branch network in the UK next month with 696 altogether.<\/p>\n The building society has pledged to keep its 605 Nationwide branches and 91 Virgin Money sites open until at least 2030, with its boss saying the \u201ctide is turning\u201d
