Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has told Manor Solomon that he is not part of his plans at the Premier League club<\/p>\n

Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has told Manor Solomon that he is not part of his plans for the season ahead and that he can leave the club, football.london understands.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old winger has played just six competitive matches for Spurs <\/a>since arriving in 2023, with three different loan moves after a knee injury in his first season at the club. However, Solomon <\/a>held out some hope that his former Shakhtar Donetsk coach De Zerbi<\/a> might have need of him in his overhauled squad next season.<\/p>\n

That has not come to pass though with De Zerbi informing Solomon that his future lies elsewhere and Spurs will try to find the Israel international, who has two years left on his contract, a new club this summer.<\/p>\n

Solomon arrived on a free transfer from Shakhtar in the summer of 2023, after a loan season at Fulham, as an addition to Ange Postecoglou’s<\/a> squad but after a bright start and two assists against Burnley, he suffered a knee injury in training six weeks into the new season.<\/p>\n

That ruled him out for the rest of the campaign and the following summer he was sent out on a season-long loan to then Championship side Leeds United. Solomon impressed and racked up 10 goals and 13 assists in 41 matches while playing a pivotal role in helping Daniel Farke’s side win promotion to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Many expected Leeds to try to make his move a permanent one that following transfer window but instead Solomon was left at Spurs until the final day of the summer window. A loan move to Crystal Palace fell through despite a deal sheet being put through to the Premier League as the Eagles pulled out of the deal and instead Tottenham found the winger a late switch to Villarreal.<\/p>\n

That brought just one La Liga start though and in the winter window a new loan was agreed for him to join struggling Italian side Fiorentina. Around a thigh injury in March, Solomon did play 16 times for the Florence side and helped them remain in Serie A with two goals and one assist, along with an assist in their Conference League quarter-final second leg win against Crystal Palace.<\/p>\n

Now the winger will be looking for another new club this summer as the door at Spurs remains closed.<\/p>\n
