Two people were hospitalised after incident involving a particpant and spectator at the Llandudno Triathlon today. Paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the scene this morning.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Always Aim High Events, who organise the Llandudno Triathlon, said: “We can confirm that an incident took place at the Llandudno Triathlon today involving a participant and a spectator. Both were taken to hospital by road ambulance.<\/p>\n
“An air ambulance attended the scene but was not required .We would like to thank the emergency services for their support and are thoughts are with those involved. We do not have any further information at this time.”<\/p>\n
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: \u201cWe were called today at approximately 11:40am, to reports of a medical emergency near North Parade, Llandudno<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe sent one Cymru High Acuity Response Unit and an operations manager to the scene.<\/p>\n \u201cAdvanced critical care support was delivered by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter.<\/p>\n \u201cTwo patients were conveyed by road to hospital for further treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n The Wales Air Ambulance has been asked to comment.<\/p>\n
