Ethereum Institutional Launch<\/p>\n

Standard Chartered Bank backed the initiative, with a representative telling CoinDesk that \u201cThese announcements will drive the type of communication the Ethereum ecosystem has been lacking.\u201d<\/p>\n

The launch also drew support from Ethereum leaders including Vivek Raman, CEO of Etherealize, who wrote on X that \u201cEthereum is not built by or run by a single organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

CoinDesk reported that Joe Andrews, CEO of Aztec Labs, said the move reflects \u201cthe continued decentralization of Ethereum’s support ecosystem rather than the emergence of a single voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Backers, Board, and Focus<\/p>\n

Multiple outlets tied the nonprofit\u2019s launch to anchor funders including Bitmine, Sharplink, and Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin, with PR Newswire saying they are \u201canchoring the funding, along with dozens of individual and institutional contributors.\u201d<\/p>\n

PR Newswire also described the organization\u2019s purpose as giving institutions a \u201ccredible, neutral counterpart\u201d as they make \u201cfoundational, long-lived platform decisions about tokenization, stablecoins and onchain market infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Defiant said Ethereum Institutional launched July 1 and quoted David Walsh calling it \u201cthe dedicated counterpart\u201d institutions can engage with for \u201chonest answers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Defiant further reported that Walsh and Joseph Chalom sit on the nonprofit\u2019s board alongside BitMine chairman Tom Lee, and that the group will operate across five areas from launch including \u201cInstitutional Education and Engagement\u201d and \u201cInstitutional Events.\u201d<\/p>\n

Institutional Stakes and Expansion<\/p>\n

PR Newswire also stated that Ethereum currently hosts \u201croughly $180 billion of stablecoins on mainnet,\u201d about \u201c60% of total stablecoin supply,\u201d and \u201croughly two-thirds of all tokenized real-world assets.\u201d<\/p>\n

In parallel, Decrypt reported that Robinhood launched the public mainnet of Robinhood Chain, an \u201cAI-native\u201d Ethereum layer-2 network, and said shares finished the day up \u201cmore than 8%\u201d on the news.<\/p>\n
