An entire Tube line will be shut this weekend as hundreds of thousands of people attempt to reach Pride celebrations<\/a>, Transport for London<\/a> (TfL) has warned. Hammersmith<\/a> & City trains are not running on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, due to track work, which is affecting travel to the city centre.<\/p>\n TfL has also announced partial closures on the District line, the Mildmay line, and the DLR to allow for Network Rail maintenance work and works at the Beckton depot. Passengers are being urged to use alternative London Underground<\/a> services and local bus routes to avoid disruption.<\/p>\n Central London will be extremely busy ahead of the Pride in London parade at 12pm on Saturday, with queues likely at several stations and bus stops, especially around Soho<\/a> and Trafalgar Square. Some stations closer to the parade route may also be exit-only, and this will be implemented as required.<\/p>\n Mumford & Sons<\/a> and Duran Duran concerts at BST Hyde Park<\/a> will add to the crowds from around midday on both days.<\/p>\n Here’s what you need to know:<\/p>\n London Underground closuresDistrict lineSaturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5: No service from Tower Hill to Upminster due to track workSaturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5: No service from Earl\u2019s Court to Kensington (Olympia) due to track work.Hammersmith & City lineSaturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5: No service on the entire line due to track work.London Overground closuresMildmay lineSaturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5: No service from Willesden Junction to Shepherd\u2019s Bush after 7.30pm on Saturday and until midday on Sunday due to Network Rail maintenance work.DLR closuresSaturday, July 4 – Sunday, July 5: No service from Prince Regent to Beckton due to works at Beckton depot to prepare for the arrival of new trains.Pride in London travel advice The London Underground is expected to be extremely busy this weekend(Image: Carl Court\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n The Pride in London parade is kicking off at 12pm on Saturday, July 4 and will see around 35,000 participants march in procession from Hyde Park Corner, through Piccadilly Circus, down Haymarket and along Cockspur Street to the main stage and rallying point at Trafalgar Square. A further 1.8 million people are expected to watch from the streets, according to organisers.<\/p>\n The majority of TfL’s services will be running, but services and stations in Central London will be particularly busy, and queuing is likely. Some bus routes will also be on diversion or stop short of their usual destinations due to road closures in support of the event.<\/p>\n Attendees are encouraged to get off at Bond Street, Charing Cross, Embankment, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road or Victoria when heading to Soho.
