A man has died after he fell from a 15-storey tower block after residents heard \u2018a big scream\u2019.<\/p>\n

Police were called to Grampian Tower in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, at 6am on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

They received a call which \u2018reported significant concern for a man outside the block\u2019.<\/p>\n

Officers found the man just outside the building where he was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

Daryl Hall, 36, told the BBC<\/a>: \u2018What I heard was a big bang followed by loads of screaming and shouting. Then, probably 10 minutes later, sirens.\u2019<\/p>\n

Steve Watkins, 48, said he heard a \u2018big scream and a crash of glass\u2019. <\/p>\n

It is not known what floor the man fell from.<\/p>\n

Essex Police said: \u2018His death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation.<\/p>\n

\u2018Anyone with information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re particularly interested in footage from in and around Grampian flats between 12am and 7am\u00a0this morning.\u2019<\/p>\n
