Velophiles and lycra-loving Londoners, listen up. This month, TfL is handing out passes to let you cycle around the city<\/a> for free every Sunday.<\/p>\n

Yep, you read that right. On the last day of each week in July, a Santander Cycles Day Pass will cost you exactly zilch, meaning you can get unlimited 60-minute rides every Sunday this month, starting from July 5.<\/p>\n

Transport for London and Santander Cycles first launched the Cycle Sundays scheme in 2024<\/a> to get the Big Smoke biking. Now, they\u2019re bringing it back to encourage people to use TfL\u2019s electric fleet of two-wheelers.<\/p>\n

So how does it work? Well, TfL Cycle Sundays offers codes via the discounts page on the Santander Cycles app. You\u2019ll need a bank card or your phone to complete the process, which can be done at any docking station terminal by selecting a Day Pass and typing in the promo code. Day passes usually cost \u00a33.50 and offer unlimited 60-minute rides over a 24-hour period.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a list of the promo codes you\u2019ll need throughout the month to unlock free rides:<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll also be able to unlock e-bikes with these codes, but you\u2019ll have to become a member first. Membership is free and can be created online or through the app. Once registered, you can hire an electric bike through the Santander Cycles app or with a membership key.<\/p>\n

As part of the month-long scheme, TfL has also mapped out a selection of beginner-friendly routes. There are more than 50 to choose from, including park rides in Hampstead Heath and Primrose Hill, an accessible cycle in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and a Cycleway loop from Clapham Common to Battersea Power Station. You can find the routes on both Strava and komoot.<\/p>\n
