Two years after announcing her cancer diagnosis<\/a>, Kate Middleton<\/a> climbed Britain\u2019s three tallest peaks to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. On Sunday, the Princess of Wales shared a series of very sweet photos showing her completing the challenge with Prince William<\/a> and their three children by her side.<\/p>\n Middleton secretly completed the challenge last week, summiting Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales within 24 hours. Upon finishing the challenge, Middleton shared a lengthy Instagram caption<\/a> about her decision to partake in the endeavor.<\/p>\n \u201cCancer doesn\u2019t just affect the body. It changes how you think and feel and profoundly affects every aspect of life. I know this personally, and that the journey through and beyond treatment requires more than medicine alone,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back.\u201d Last year, Middleton announced that she was in remission<\/a> and getting used to her \u201cnew normal<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n On Sunday, Middleton\u2019s brother, James, shared his own post about joining Kate on her journey. \u201cTwo years ago, I told you we\u2019d climb this mountain together,\u201d James wrote to Kate. \u201cWe talked about climbing mountains while you were in hospital, and about the incredible healing power that nature can have for both the body and the mind.\u201d James added that it was an \u201chonour\u201d to hike alongside his sister, whose \u201cstrength, resilience, and determination\u201d inspire him \u201cand so many others every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n Props to the Middletons for showing what a supportive and emotionally healthy relationship can look like between adult siblings.
