Cops found a dead man in the woodlands of Borstal, in Gillingham, Kent\"A<\/p>\n

Detectives investigating an alleged murder in Wimbledon<\/a> have arrested two men.<\/p>\n

Police<\/a> raced to Kingfisher Court, Wimbledon, to reports of a murder just before noon on Thursday (July 9).<\/p>\n

There was no-one at the home but police suspected someone was harmed and began investigating. Two men, 27 and 32, had gone to Kent and were arrested on suspicion of murder.<\/p>\n

They are in custody at the time of writing. Later that day, cops found a dead man in the woodlands of Borstal, in Gillingham, Kent.<\/p>\n

Police think they know who it is although he is yet to be formally identified. His next of kin have been informed.<\/p>\n

The victim and the two men arrested were known to each other.<\/p>\n

A third man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and has since been bailed.<\/p>\n

Detective Inspector Ben Dalloway, who is leading the investigation, said: \u201cOur thoughts remain with the victim\u2019s family who are understandably distraught at their loss.<\/p>\n

“We will continue to offer them every support.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been a fast-moving investigation and we are working tirelessly to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough we have made two arrests and do not believe there is any wider risk to the public, we would ask that anyone with information comes forward to police as soon as possible by calling 101 with CAD 9504\/9JUL.\u201d<\/p>\n
