A cyclist is fighting for his life after a crash in Croydon.<\/p>\n

Police raced to the junction of Scarbrook Road and Wandle Road following the crash yesterday (Friday, July 10).<\/p>\n

There they found the 39-year-old cyclist who was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition. The driver stopped to help.<\/p>\n

Photos show police at the scene gathering evidence on what happened. There have been no arrests.<\/p>\n

A Met spokesperson said: “At 12.05am on Friday, July 10, officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist at the junction of Scarbrook Road and Wandle Road, Croydon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cyclist, aged 39, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

“He remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. His next-of-kin have been informed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers from the Met\u2019s Serious Collision Investigation Unit with their enquiries.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 3789\/10JUL26.\u201d<\/p>\n
