Emergency services were called to Canning Dock in the city centre following reports of a concern for the safety of a man today, Tuesday, April 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue and ambulance services were called to the scene. The coastguard also attended and a huge search was launched, focusing on the water. Part of Albert Dock was also cordoned off by police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Following enquiries, the body of a man was found in the River Mersey, police have confirmed.
