{"id":84147,"date":"2026-07-16T11:17:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/84147\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T11:17:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T11:17:14","slug":"ai-accounts-for-more-than-half-of-all-uk-fundraising-in-landmark-quarter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/84147\/","title":{"rendered":"AI accounts for more than half of all UK fundraising in \u2018landmark quarter\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Artificial Intelligence based firms accounted for 57% of all UK equity fundraising by value in the second quarter of this year, according to data from Beauhurst.<\/p>\n<p>The total sum invested hit a record \u00a34.56bn, which was 4.1% more than in the first quarter, and nearly three times the same period of 2025 (\u00a31.59bn).<\/p>\n<p>Across all sectors, Beauhurst tracked 1,070 UK equity deals in Q2 2026, worth \u00a38.01bn.<\/p>\n<p>With 269 rounds of AI equity fundraising, AI accounted for around one in four deals in the quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Beauhurst\u2019s analysis of Companies House filings found eight \u00a3100m+ AI equity raises accounted for almost 80% of disclosed AI investment in the quarter,<\/p>\n<p>Fundraising rounds by Isomorphic Labs, Ineffable Intelligence, NScale, PhysicsX and Fractile drove a significant share of the total.<\/p>\n<p>See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/portfolio-adviser.com\/hanetf-expands-defence-etf-range-with-new-launch\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/portfolio-adviser.com\/hanetf-expands-defence-etf-range-with-new-launch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HANetf expands defence ETF range with new launch<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Henry Whorwood, managing director of Beauhurst Insights, said: \u201cQ2 was a landmark quarter for UK AI investment. What stands out is not just the scale of capital going into AI, but the breadth of the companies raising.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe UK is attracting major investment across life sciences, AI infrastructure, financial services, advanced engineering and enterprise software. AI is now a major driver of the UK private-company market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe headline figure is already a record, but it is unlikely to be the final number.
