Russia<\/a> is threatening to blow up Westminster Bridge in revenge for British drones<\/a> \u201cdestroying a Russian-held crossing in a Ukrainian operation\u201d. Spectacular footage shows the moment of the explosion on the Konka, a tributary of the River Dnipro [Dnieper].<\/p>\n

The strike was in March last year, but it is now revealed Ukraine<\/a> deployed British Malloy T-150 heavy-lift drones to wreak havoc with the bridge. The revelation has infuriated the Russians. Moscow state media propagandist and British \u201cexpert\u201d Vladimir Kornilov declared it was \u201cnoteworthy how the British openly boast about their participation in acts of sabotage on Russian territory.\u201d In fact, the explosion was on Ukrainian<\/a> territory under international law – though invaded by Vladimir Putin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He declared: \u201cIt\u2019s high time we started bragging: \u2018Russian missiles destroyed the key Westminster Bridge\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, the Houthis or the Iranians<\/a> will be the ones doing the hitting!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kornilov complained that \u201cthe British are practically choking with delight at their direct involvement in the terrorist attack\u201d.<\/p>\n

He asked what the British would \u201csing about\u201d if Westminster Bridge – next to the Houses of Parliament – was destroyed.<\/p>\n

The crossing has long been a focus of Russian interest. A picture shows Putin glamour spy Anna Chapman on Westminster Bridge before she was detained in New York by the FBI<\/a>, and soon stripped of her UK citizenship.<\/p>\n

Another Putin-loyal outlet, Tsargrad, declared: \u201cThe British are literally gushing with delight about their direct involvement in the terrorist attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cIsn’t it time to shift the strikes to the decision-making centre after such a candid admission?\u201d<\/p>\n

The explosion on the Konka bridge was – at the time – believed to be a straightforward aerial hit. But now the secret is out that Ukraine\u2019s innovative 426th Unmanned Systems Regiment used the heavy-lifting drone on 30-plus missions over 60 days, delivering a staggering 1.5 tons of explosives while eluding Russian forces.<\/p>\n

\u201cBridges are relatively easy to destroy from underneath,\u201d said Ukrainian Col. Oleksii Bulakhov, the regiment\u2019s commander.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut they are engineered in a way that makes them extremely robust from the outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

A 50kg shaped charge was lowered by cable onto the bridge\u2019s weakest points.
