Councillors Gareth Probert and Alan Davies have written to Lloyds Banking Group chief executive Charlie Nunn calling on the bank to reconsider plans to shut its Mostyn Street branch.

The pair argue that while banking habits have changed, face-to-face banking remains vital in one of North Wales’ busiest towns. The Lloyds branch at 22 Mostyn Street will close on 28 October 2026.

Councillors Probert and Davies, both of Reform, issued a joint statement on the matter. ” Llandudno is one of North Wales’ most important towns and deserves to retain access to proper banking services.
