A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in a Derbyshire town street.<\/p>\n

On Monday, April 6, at just after 1.50pm, a Ford Kuga was in collision with a pedestrian in Street Lane, Ripley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. She remains in hospital, officers<\/a> added.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Ford Kuga, a 32-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving whilst unfit through drugs and failing to stop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He has been bailed as investigations continue.<\/p>\n
