MEGA<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the decision to refuse permission was made because his presence would not be conducive to the public good.<\/p>\n<p>West, also known as Ye, was due to headline all three nights from July 10 to July 12 at Finsbury Park, North London \u2013 playing to 150,000 people in total.<\/p>\n<p>But Wireless organizer Festival Republic has now confirmed the popular event has been canceled altogether following the U.K. Government\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>It comes after major sponsors of the event, including Pepsi and PayPal, pulled out following the announcement <a href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/p\/kanye-west-michael-jackson-impersonator-video-backlash-bully-father\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">West<\/a> would be headlining.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, it said: \u201cThe Home Office has withdrawn YE\u2019s ETA, denying him entry into the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, Wireless Festival is cancelled, and refunds will be issued to all ticket-holders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Festival Bosses Decide To Shelve Three-Day Event<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/kanye-west-festival-ban-calls-meltdown-1775502707475.jpg\"\/>Wireless organizers claims West wants to speak to Jewish community in the U.K. MEGA\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It continued: \u201cAs with every Wireless Festival, multiple stakeholders were consulted in advance of booking YE, and no concerns were highlighted at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAntisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent, and we recognise the real and personal impact these issues have had.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs YE said today, he acknowledges that words alone are not enough, and in spite of this still hopes to be given the opportunity to begin a conversation with the Jewish community in the U.K.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Posting on social media after the announcement, British Prime Minister <a href=\"http:\/\/wonderwall.com\/tag\/sir-keir-starmer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sir Keir Starmer<\/a> said West \u201cshould never have been invited\u201d to headline the festival.<\/p>\n<p>British Prime Minister Lays Into Rapper<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/peter-mandelson-arrest-keir-starmer-1771873814615.jpg\"\/>Sir Keir Starmer says West should never have been invited to perform at the festival. MEGA\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: \u201cThis government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>West has previously sold swastika T-shirts \u2014 and been pictured wearing them \u2014 and his song Heil Hitler, released last year, glorified the Nazi leader.<\/p>\n<p>The Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) said the Government \u201chas clearly made the right decision\u201d in blocking West.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/snoop-dogg-the-voice-on-thin-ice-homophobic-comments-4-1762531889518.jpg\"\/>Snoop Dogg has also previously been banned from entering the U.K. MEGA<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson said: \u201cThe Government has clearly made the right decision here.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor once, when it said that antisemitism has no place in the U.K, it backed up its words with action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomeone who has boasted of making tens of millions of dollars from selling swastika t-shirts and who released a song called Heil Hitler just months ago clearly would not be conducive to the public good in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWireless Festival, in its desperate quest for profit, defended the invitation until the end.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is shameful, and its sponsors should continue to stay away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>West \u2013 who was blocked from entering Australia last year over his Heil Hitler song \u2013 is not the first rapper to be denied entry in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wonderwall.com\/tag\/snoop-dogg\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Snoop Dogg<\/a> was previously banned in 2007 after his involvement in a brawl at Heathrow Airport that left several cops injured.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"British Home Office Get Tough With West The British Home Office turned down West\u2019s application to travel.
