The London Museum has shared details about its new bar, restaurant and caf\u00e9 spaces, which will open at its new Smithfield Market location. <\/p>\n

Formerly known as the Museum of London, the \u00a3437 million London Museum will open its new permanent galleries<\/a> at Smithfield\u2019s General Market on 28 November 2026.<\/p>\n

Designed by Stanton Williams and Asif Khan, alongside conservation architects Julian Harrap, the museum is housed within the Victorian General Market<\/a>, a historic building returning to public use for the first time in more than 30 years.<\/p>\n

Hospitality company Green & Fortune announced today that four F&B destinations will be created for the new location in collaboration with celebrated London<\/a> chef Robin Gill and drinks industry pioneer Mr Lyan.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt London Museum<\/a>, the food alone will be a reason to visit. Working with Green & Fortune, we want to curate an experience that reflects the vibrancy of London and tell London’s story through food,” said Gill.<\/p>\n

“We’ll be partnering with the best London producers and nurturing up-and-coming talent in the capital, which is an exciting proposition.”<\/p>\n

Among the four new spaces is The Roost, a rotating street-food residency that supports London’s emerging chefs through pop-ups lasting up to 6 months.<\/p>\n

Temperance Cocoa Rooms will restore the former Lockhart\u2019s Cocoa Rooms into a sober socialising space, with 24-hour opening from Thursday to Sunday.<\/p>\n

Bartholomew\u2019s, a street-side bar, will serve cocktails inspired by the museum<\/a>\u2019s events and displays, while Clerk\u2019s House will offer all-day dining reflecting the cultural influences shaping London\u2019s food scene.<\/p>\n

Nathan Lamb, director of experience and enterprise at the London Museum, said: “Food is how London meets. Over a table to share plates and opinions, a coffee to catch up with friends, or a drink before the music starts.<\/p>\n

“In the museum, we will offer four distinct experiences that give people both a place<\/a> and a reason to come together. <\/p>\n

“Working with Green & Fortune, alongside Robin Gill and Mr Lyan Studio, it will be part of how we tell London\u2019s story, drawing on Smithfield\u2019s legacy as a place that has fed and entertained Londoners for close to a thousand years.”<\/p>\n
