During the first six months of 2026, 34 homes priced above 15 million pounds (about $20 million) changed hands across the British capital, according to a new report from Beauchamp Estates. Together, those sales totaled 1.24 billion pounds (or $1.6 billion), up 79 percent from the same period last year, when $694 million worth of homes sold. The number of transactions also climbed 26 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSo what\u2019s driving the surge? A growing number of American buyers, many of whom made fortunes in artificial intelligence, tech, and private equity. Americans now account for 30 percent of all ultra-prime home purchases in the city, up from 20 percent at the end of last year. Buyers from the <a href=\"https:\/\/robbreport.com\/tag\/middle-east\/\" id=\"auto-tag_middle-east\" data-tag=\"middle-east\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Middle East<\/a> make up another 25 percent, meaning the two groups now represent more than half of London\u2019s luxury home sales. \u201cSince April 2026 we have done five big deals, all with American buyers who have wanted homes in London\u2019s best addresses,\u201d says Jeremy Gee, managing director of Beauchamp Estates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/robbreport.com\/shelter\/homes-for-sale\/landmaxxing-billionaires-buying-the-house-next-door-1238487795\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/robbreport.com\/shelter\/homes-for-sale\/landmaxxing-billionaires-buying-the-house-next-door-1238487795\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">RELATED: Landmaxxing Has Billionaires Buying Up All the Homes Around Them<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe homes they\u2019re buying aren\u2019t just expensive\u2014they\u2019re enormous. The average sale price has climbed to 36.5 million pounds ($49 million) this year, up from 25.7 million pounds ($34.5 million) a year ago. Most buyers are choosing grand townhouses or mansions with gardens, while those opting for apartments are gravitating toward sprawling penthouses and turnkey residences in luxury buildings with hotel-style amenities.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"c-lazy-image__img lrv-u-background-color-grey-lightest lrv-u-width-100p lrv-u-display-block lrv-u-height-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/robbreport.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-robbreport-2017-v2\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/the-holme-regents-park.jpg\" alt=\"Billionaires Buying Luxury Homes in London\" data-lazy- data-lazy- height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" decoding=\"async\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tThe Holme in Regent\u2019s Park was one of the biggest sales in the first six months of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBeauchamp Estates<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe biggest sale of the year so far was Providence House in Chelsea, which sold for 275 million pounds ($367 million) from property developer Nick Candy to Quadrature Capital co-founder Suneil Setiya. It was followed by The Holme, the landmark Regent\u2019s Park mansion that once belonged to members of the Saudi royal family, which traded for 195 million pounds ($260 Belgravia led the market with nine sales above \u00a315 million ($20 million), while Chelsea, St. John\u2019s Wood, and <a href=\"https:\/\/robbreport.com\/tag\/mayfair\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mayfair\" data-tag=\"mayfair\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayfair<\/a> also saw strong demand. Mayfair has become especially popular with American buyers, thanks to its growing concentration of AI, fintech, and private equity firms.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tInteresting, the report also suggests London is looking like a relative bargain to global elites. Prices remain more than 20 percent below their 2014 peak, giving international buyers the chance to purchase trophy properties at a discount.
