supermarket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Officers were called to the store on Asdale Road in Wakefield at around 3:45pm on Thursday to reports of a sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">West Yorkshire Police said it understands the suspect was confronted by a woman who was shopping in the kitchen aisle and have urged her to get in touch and assist with the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and assault of a police officer, the force added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">West Yorkshire Police said: &#8220;We are appealing for a woman to come forward following a reported sexual offence in a supermarket in Wakefield.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Officers were called to the ASDA supermarket on Asdale Road at around 3.45pm yesterday (23 July) to reports that a man had sexually assaulted a teenage girl within the store.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and also assault PC offences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh\" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We understand that a woman who was shopping in the kitchen aisle confronted the suspect and officers are urging her to come forward to assist with the ongoing enquiries into this incident.<\/p>\n<p
