Reform UK and GB News have been blamed for homophobic “hate” which led to the Berlin Pride car ramming attack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kate Osborne, on the party’s left, claimed last night that the party and the channel were “spouting nonsense and broadcasting content and language that attacks and vilifies the LGBTQ+ community”.<\/p>\n

She said that both contributed to “patterns emerging across Europe” and that “an escalation of hate and verbal attacks online” acted as a “catalyst for real-world physical violence”.<\/p>\n

“This is why Pride still matters and why we all need to vocally stand up for minorities and condemn the hate,” the Jarrow and Gateshead East MP said.<\/p>\n

“It’s simply unhinged.<\/p>\n

“The left will do literally anything to avoid confronting the Islamist threat.”<\/p>\n

Labour MP David Taylor, however, took to social media last night to decry the far-left – and warned of how Islamic extremists “hate our way of life” in the West.<\/p>\n

“The far-left like to claim terrorist attacks are the result of ‘Western imperialism’,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Germany opposed the Iraq war and the US’s operations in Iran this year.<\/p>\n

In Germany, the attack has sparked renewed calls – across the political divide – for the country to crack down on radical Islam.<\/p>\n

Green politician and Bundestag Vice President Omid Nouripour said Germany must stand against “murderous Islamism”.<\/p>\n

While Daniel Peters, a regional leader of the centre-right CDU, said Isis supporters “must not walk free in Germany”.<\/p>\n

“We will not allow religious extremists to divide our country with violence and intolerance!” the right-wing AfD’s co-leader Tino Chrupalla said.<\/p>\n

The party has directly blamed Angela Merkel’s open-doors refugee policy<\/a> for terror attacks in Germany.<\/p>\n

Europe’s largest economy has endured a slew of terrorist attacks over the last decade, with at least nine notable car ramming attacks alone.<\/p>\n

A failed Afghan asylum seeker injured 30 people<\/a> – including a two-year-old toddler – when he drove into crowds in Munich last February.<\/p>\n

In May this year, a man drove into a pedestrian zone in Leipzig, killing two people and seriously injuring three others.<\/p>\n

Most notably, in 2016, Tunisian failed asylum seeker Anis Amri hijacked a truck, killed its driver and drove it into a busy Christmas market, killing 11 people and injuring dozens.<\/p>\n
