{"id":93203,"date":"2026-07-29T18:20:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T18:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/93203\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T18:20:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T18:20:32","slug":"farage-blasts-burnham-for-not-inviting-him-into-social-care-conversations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/93203\/","title":{"rendered":"Farage blasts Burnham for not inviting him into social care conversations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nigel Farage has thrown his toys out the pram after Andy Burnham didn\u2019t invite him to a conversation over social care in England. <\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Burnham <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/society\/2026\/jul\/28\/andy-burnham-cross-party-consensus-reforms-social-care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">will meet<\/a> with Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch and Lib Dem leader Ed Davey to discuss how to reform social care. <\/p>\n<p>Burnham has made social care reform in England one of his main aims as prime minister, having openly said he is willing to spend \u2018whatever political capital I have\u2019 on addressing the issue. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m serious about fixing this issue and to do that, we have to find common ground and listen to others,\u201d Burnham said on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t long after the announcement that Nigel Farage piped up though, reacting angrily to the fact he wasn\u2019t invited to the talks. <\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelondoneconomic.com\/news\/james-obrien-nails-reforms-impossible-hypocrisy-over-polanski-instagram-post-408219\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">James O\u2019Brien nails Reform\u2019s \u2018impossible hypocrisy\u2019 over Polanski Instagram post<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cIt\u2019s now clear that Burnham is conspiring behind closed doors to foist further tax rises on the country. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact Davey and Badenoch are going tells you all you need to know\u2026 this is the uniparty in action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it seems Farage has forgotten a crucial detail that would explain why he wasn\u2019t invited to these talks \u2013 he\u2019s not an MP. <\/p>\n<p>It must have slipped poor Nigel\u2019s mind that he resigned as an MP so he could spark an attention-seeking by-election in Clacton again, where he\u2019ll be running against Count Binface. <\/p>\n<p>Many were keen to remind Farage of this, with a community note quickly appearing underneath a tweet about his anger.<\/p>\n<p>It helpfully explains: \u201cNigel Farage officially resigned his seat as Member of Parliament for Clacton on July 8, 2026.
