Three people have been taken to hospital this afternoon (July 29) following a suspected dog attack in Bolton.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police said they were called just before 3:30pm to reports of a dog bite at an address in Barrie Way.<\/p>\n

An air ambulance landed at Hall i’ Th’ Wood with paramedics attending the scene alongside police dog units and armed officers.<\/p>\n

The force confirmed that three people were taken to hospital by ambulance and that a dog had been seized. Its breed is not yet known.<\/p>\n

Armed police were seen going into the house, alongside a dog handler who removed the animal from the house and placed it in an animal transport van.<\/p>\n

GMP said that enquiries were ongoing with no arrests made.<\/p>\n

In a full statement a spokesperson said: “Officers were called just before 3.30pm on Wednesday 29 July 2026 to a report of a dog bite at an address on Barrie Way in Bolton.<\/p>\n

“Emergency services attended and three people have been taken by ambulance to hospital.<\/p>\n

“One dog has been seized.
