There are very few activities I enjoy more than having a nosey around places and spaces that are usually off-limits. And so when handed the chance to have a snoop around some of the most exclusive and elusive gardens in London; you best believe that I\u2019ll be grabbing on to it firmly. <\/p>\n<p>The opportunity in question comes in the form of London Open Gardens; an annual two-day event that gives us mere mortals the chance to have a peek behind the curtain hedge of some of the capital\u2019s swankiest green spaces. From farms and food gardens to allotments and ancient squares; plenty of private gardens will be on display over the weekend. By purchasing a ticket, you\u2019ll be granted access to most of the gardens taking part (some are only available by ballot or require additional booking) for the entire weekend. Under 12s also go free \u2013 so you can bring your little nature-lovers along with having to pay an extra penny.<\/p>\n<p>You can peruse the full list of partaking gardens <a href=\"https:\/\/londongardenstrust.org\/whatson\/london-open-gardens-2026\/participating-gardens\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/londongardenstrust.org\/whatson\/london-open-gardens-2026\/participating-gardens\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_non_sales\">here<\/a>, but visitors can expect to find firm foliage-filled favourites alongside a whole host of secret spots that are opening their gates to the public for the first time. This year, London Open Gardens has announced the special addition of the \u2018Behind The Scenes\u2019 collection. A weekend ticket will also unlock the opportunity to book a carefully-curated programme of small-group garden tours, led by head gardeners and horticultural specialists.
