He said that he would be suspending action for two weeks as long as the Strait of Hormuz is reopened and that is something that the Iranians have offered to do. In the last hour, Trump has called it a big day for world peace.”<\/p>\n
Rosie Dowsing began her report by confirming that the human chains around the Iranian power plants are no longer needed now the threat of US bombing has been removed for two weeks.<\/p>\n
She continued: “12 hours after Trump threatened to end civilisation in Iran, he used the same social media platform to declare a double-sided ceasefire. He said Iran issued a 10-point proposal, a workable basis, he states, on which to negotiate.”<\/p>\n
Dowsing highlighted the change in mood for those living in Iran, but pointed out that the ceasefire is dependent on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz \u2013 the vital shipping lane which has been used as the country’s bargaining chip.<\/p>\n
“Further talks between the warring nations are planned for Friday, with Pakistan operating as mediator,” Dowsing said. “Although nothing is signed off just yet, the breathing space from both the bombs and the turmoil seems welcome on both sides.”<\/p>\n
In a statement, he said: “I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE!”<\/p>\n
He added that the two-week ceasefire is on the grounds that the Strait of Hormuz is completely and immediately reopened.<\/p>\n
