A truck driver has died and a man is fighting for his life following a four-vehicle crash involving firefighters.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the A1065 at Castle Acre at 7.46am this morning<\/a> following the collision, which was between a Mercedes Sprinter van, a Norfolk Fire and Rescue water carrier, a white DAF truck and a black Mazda outside the George and Dragon pub.<\/p>\n

The road has since been closed while Highways works to repair the surface.<\/p>\n

Officers have now confirmed that the driver of the DAF truck, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Mercedes van has been left in life-threatening condition and is currently being treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.<\/p>\n

Two firefighters were in the water carrier at the time<\/a> – but did not suffer any serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Police are looking to speak to witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.<\/p>\n
