Photo: Chris Lowndes<\/p>\n<p>Barbecue chicken, turkey and fish were among the specialities while chin chin &#8211; a sweet, crunchy, and deep-fried snack made from all-purpose flour, sugar, butter, and nutmeg &#8211; puff puff, a lightly sweetened, yeast-raised dough that is deep-fried until golden brown, and plant-petal drink zobo were also on the menu.<\/p>\n<p>South Holland\u2019s Nigerian diaspora enjoy a yearly social event, with the group choosing take part in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lincsonline.co.uk\/categories\/spalding-flower-parade\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spalding Flower Parade<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s gathering saw British and African-born Nigerians join with friends from other communities, with some of the group travelling from as far afield as Scotland and Wales especially.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"rthmb\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 4256 2064\" alt=\"Organisers an helpers at the Spalding Nigerian community's summer event.
