A major search was launched after the 17-year-old went missing on Tuesday\"Emergency<\/p>\n

A body has been found in the search for a missing teenager in the grounds of a Welsh castle. A major search operation was launched for the 17-year-old boy around Chirk Castle in north Wales on Tuesday, April 7.<\/p>\n

It was thought the boy had entered a lake near the castle before vanishing.<\/p>\n

Extensive searches were carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday by specialist search and rescue teams. North Wales Police have now confirmed that a body has sadly been found.<\/p>\n

The death is not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n

Detective Chief Superintendent Sian Beck said: “My deepest thoughts and condolences are with his loved ones, who are being supported by specialist officers following this tragic incident.<\/p>\n
