{"id":9837,"date":"2026-04-08T21:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T21:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/9837\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T21:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T21:18:09","slug":"uk-scottishpower-renewables-reveals-initial-design-for-new-lowestoft-operations-base","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/9837\/","title":{"rendered":"UK: ScottishPower Renewables reveals initial design for new Lowestoft operations base"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/222566_522f9bca56e34223b82c.jpg\" alt=\"Photo - see caption\" class=\"articleimage\"\/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishpowerrenewables.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ScottishPower Renewables<\/a> has revealed the initial design for its new \u00a38 million East Anglia THREE offshore windfarm base in Lowestoft\u2019s PowerPark.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.scottishpowerrenewables.com\/documents\/236078\/237944\/LSIArchitects-EA3-img2-900x694.jpg\/210b6501-b93b-a705-1f5b-81c8590d528b?version=1.0&amp;t=1775577286259\" style=\"width:700px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The new-build 5000m\u00b2 facility will be developed on Trinity Road on the site previously occupied by RJ Pryce.<\/p>\n<p>The site was acquired by ScottishPower Renewables in September 2024 and will become home to a new purpose-built operations and maintenance facility, subject to determination of the planning application submitted to East Suffolk Council.<\/p>\n<p>The building design shows that it will comprise three storeys, with a similar look and feel to the company\u2019s operations and maintenance base for its East Anglia (EA) ONE offshore windfarm.<\/p>\n<p>Located nearby on land owned by Associated British Ports at Lowestoft port, it opened in 2019 and will continue to operate on its existing 30-year lease.<\/p>\n<p>The Trinity Road development, which will be wholly-owned by ScottishPower Renewables, is expected to have capacity for around 100 people, creating additional employment opportunities for the town and local area.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Wooltorton, Project Construction Manager with ScottishPower Renewables, said: &#8216;It\u2019s really exciting to see the new building brought to life in these initial designs.
