{"id":99226,"date":"2026-08-07T12:30:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T12:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/99226\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T12:30:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T12:30:18","slug":"farsley-november-start-for-lloyds-centre-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/99226\/","title":{"rendered":"Farsley: November start for Lloyds centre development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Developers behind the transformation of a former Lloyds data and call centre in Farsley into 120 affordable homes have welcomed the council\u2019s decision to approve the plans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WLD <a href=\"https:\/\/westleedsdispatch.com\/farsley-green-light-for-120-homes-on-former-lloyds-site\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported yesterday <\/a>how councillors approved proposals for a mixture of affordable houses and flats by Breck Homes and Bank of Scotland at a former Lloyds Banking Group data and call centre\u00a0on Cote Lane, Farsley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Breck has revealed today that it anticipates beginning on-site in November and aims to complete by December 2029.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"585\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Dawsons-Corner-site-layout-900x585.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-207335\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nigel Robson, managing director at Yorkshire, Breck Homes, said: \u201cThis has been a thorough planning process, with the local area at the heart of our strategy and decision making.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are delighted to continue our strong relationship with long-standing partners, Lloyds. Focus now turns to progressing the development and creating another new, thriving community of affordable homes in Yorkshire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jess Tomlinson, Global Head of Real Estate &amp; Housing, Lloyds Banking Group, added: \u201cThe approval of these plans is an important step towards bringing more affordable homes to West Yorkshire and giving local people greater access to high-quality housing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy working with partners such as Breck, we can support local housing needs and contribute to the long-term prosperity of the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brownfield site, near Dawsons Corner, will feature one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses, for\u00a0shared ownership and affordable rent.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investment will also be going into existing children\u2019s play facilities. Breck is in talks with a nominated housing provider, which will acquire the site on completion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Breck and Lloyds submitted plans in October 2025. Since 2018, Lloyds has supported over \u00a323billion in new finance to the social housing sector through commercial lending and deal facilitation, including \u00a33.2billion in 2025 alone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dawsons Corner will be Breck\u2019s fourth affordable development in Yorkshire, with the property developer already live at three sites in Bradford.
