The other two victims have since been discharged.<\/p>\n<p>Here is how the incident unfolded.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/emergency-services\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">emergency services<\/a> were first called around 12.30pm on Wednesday following reports of stabbings on Endell Street.<\/p>\n<p>One witness, who did not want to be named, said they saw the stabbings take place outside the Shaftesbury Theatre before the woman made her way down Endell Street.<\/p>\n<p>The witness said: &#8220;We noticed she stabbed three people with scissors by the theatre then she came down here and the police were here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1786162699_683_01KZ933SEB0PEZE0NE9GQDNQZT.jpg\" width=\"6000\" height=\"4000\" alt=\"&lt;p&gt;Emergency services near the scene on Endell Street in Covent Garden, central London, after four men were stabbed. I didn\u2019t see any scissors, but I heard it was with small scissors.<\/p>\n<p>An employee at 2 Chairs Grooming Room, a barber shop on Endell Street, said they helped one of the victims call the police after they had been stabbed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Covent-Garden-aerial-view.jpeg\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" alt=\"Covent Garden aerial view \" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"sc-dkPvMp YXmIZ\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Covent Garden aerial view <\/p>\n<p>PA<\/p>\n<p>The employee, who wished to remain anonymous, said: \u201cOne of the victims ran into the shop to call the police. He was wearing a shirt and had a hole in his back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was traumatised, he was panicked but the police turned up very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emergency Services respond<\/p>\n<p>The four men were swiftly discovered with stab wounds, and were assessed at the scene by paramedics.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Gjorga added: \u201cWe saw this lady after a few minutes being arrested \u2013 the police responded immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/metropolitan-police\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Metropolitan Police<\/a> confirmed that a 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assault. She remains in custody.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/britain\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/01KZ99ED2MZGW63AR6X983A6WY.jpg\" width=\"5649\" height=\"3766\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"sc-dkPvMp YXmIZ\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Emergency services near the scene on Endell Street<\/p>\n<p>PA<\/p>\n<p>According to witnesses, the woman arrested was homeless, and was regularly seen in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Bishop, 42, who works at a consultancy firm next to the cordon in Covent Garden, said he saw a woman having a \u201cstand-off\u201d with three police officers and waving a weapon around.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI didn\u2019t see the stabbing. I saw her running down the road towards the crossroads. She looked quite old, short hair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a bit of a stand-off with three police officers. She didn\u2019t seem to be particularly coherent.
