KAWARTHA LAKES-The Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a 9-1-1 call reporting an unknown trouble in the area of Colborne Street West and William Street North in Lindsay at approximately 3:30 a.m. this morning. A responding officer observed a suspect vehicle fleeing the area on Victoria Avenue North.

The suspect vehicle was subsequently involved in a motor vehicle collision at Victoria Avenue South and Glenelg Street West according to police. The occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the incident, and the SIU has invoked its mandate. As a result, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service is unable to provide any further information at this time.
