Céline Dion’s comeback took another step forward Friday with the release of her second single of the year, Bonjour, Pardon, Merci.
The track was written by French composer and singer-songwriter Ycare and recorded in Las Vegas with producer Renaud Rebillaud.
The 58-year-old singer was somewhat mum on her TikTok page, opting for a more traditional promotional rollout compared with her more personable videos earlier in the year, where she commented on amateur covers of her own songs and recommended her favourite artists.

Dion said in a statement that the song was inspired by a Hawaiian prayer, the Ho’oponopono.
In April, Dion released Dansons, her first French single since the cancellation of 2022 Courage World Tour dates and her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.
Both tracks are available on streaming, but will come out on a 12-inch vinyl single on Sept 4.
The songs come in advance of her return to the stage with a 16-date residency at Plenitude Arena — formerly known as Paris La Défense Arena — this September and October. Dion will play an additional 10 shows at the same venue the following May.
There are no shows planned for elsewhere at the moment, including Montreal.
