A seasoned government relations advisor will lead the Ukrainian Congress of Canada. His appointment could reshape community outreach and donor partnerships.
The Congress of Ukrainians of Canada (CUC) announced the appointment of Danylo Korbabich to the position of chief executive officer of the organization.

He brings with him an impressive professional background, particularly in the field of public policy and government relations. Danylo has been an active volunteer and participant in our community from a young age, and he brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise that will be valuable assets for the Congress and for our community

Details about the appointment and professional experience
According to the CUC’s press office, Danylo Korbabich has significant experience in politics and government relations. During his career, he has served as an advisor to two MPs, three ministers, the Premier of Ontario, the Leader of the Government in the Senate, and the former Prime Minister of Canada. He also led a practice for more than ten years at one of Canada’s leading firms in the field of government and public affairs after working at an international law firm.
As part of the Ukrainian community in Canada, Korbabich has for many years served on the board of directors of the CUC and chaired one of its committees. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, twice held the position of president of the Union of Ukrainian Students of Canada (SUSK), in his youth he was a Plast member, and also a soloist and instructor of the bandura for the Canadian Bandurists’ Capella.
Commenting on the appointment, Danylo Korbabich expressed gratitude for the trust and stated his intention to work closely with the Ukrainian community.

Leadership changes underscore the CUC’s aim to strengthen the role of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada and ensure the organization’s ongoing prosperity and active civic life.
Since 1940, the CUC has represented the interests of the Ukrainian-Canadian community before the people and government of Canada. The Congress coordinates and unites the major Ukrainian-Canadian organizations, fosters ties with Ukraine, and identifies the community’s needs to support its development and the country’s cultural landscape.
As a result of the appointment, the CUC expects an active partnership with volunteers and donors to continue the Ukrainian community’s influence in Canada and strengthen its cooperation with Ukraine.
