The Montreal Alouettes have signed American running back Rushawn Baker, the team announced on Monday.

The five-foot-eleven, 220-pound ball-carrier had a previous stint with the Edmonton Elks, though he didn’t see any regular-season action.

The 23-year-old concluded his collegiate career at Elon University in 2024, where he carried the ball 183 times for 859 yards and nine touchdowns to earn an honourable mention all-conference selection. He transferred after three seasons at Bucknell University, where he amassed 1,359 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns on 335 carries.
