The Canadian woman accused of slapping a teen wearing “pro-Trump memorabilia” on a Jersey Shore boardwalk was in the country illegally, the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday.

Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, who’s been cooling her heels at Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, overstayed her visa by nearly two years after coming to the US in April 2024, according to DHS.

Tracey was busted after allegedly confronting a group of four teenagers — including a 16-year-old girl with “patriotic-colored” MAGA sweatpants — at the Point Pleasant boardwalk over Fourth of July weekend, according to court documents obtained by NJ.com.

She allegedly slapped the girl across the face and body on July 3, cops said.

Tracey “is a criminal illegal alien from Canada who was charged with simple assault, neglect of a child, compounding crime, and harassing communication,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement to The Post.

The lefty immigrant entered the US on April 14, 2024 on a visa that expired on Sept. 6 of that year, officials said.

Tracey didn’t go back home “in violation of our nation’s laws” and overstayed her visa by failing “to depart,” the DHS spokesperson said.

The Canuck will remain at Delaney Hall pending her immigration proceedings — the very immigration detention center that her lefty husband has railed about on social media.

Matthew Geroni, 42, revealed his wife’s whereabouts in a TikTok video Tuesday that he said he recorded with the purpose of getting her released from ICE custody “even if that means back to Canada.”

Geroni, an American citizen, has previously posted videos from Delaney Hall purporting to imitate both sides of the conflict — portraying the protestors as peaceful and cops as violent, mindless thugs.

Geroni has a history of unleashing unhinged, lefty rants on his social media pages, some of which have targeted Trump.

The couple have been living in Asbury Park, NJ, since she arrived in the US with a Canadian passport two years ago.
