Wildfire smoke from more than 100 Canada fires worsens air quality in the Baltimore area
If you’ve noticed *** little bit of an orange tint or hue to the sunrise or sunset, that’s likely due to wildfire smoke in our atmosphere, as you’re seeing here on this forecast map, it could be *** little bit more dense or concentrated as we get through the day on Thursday. Certainly could see more smoke in our atmosphere, and the reason for that is basically the upper level winds of the atmosphere are more northwesterly here, which actually sends. All of that smoke in our direction, so you may notice that tint in the sky later on tonight or even as we get through the day on Thursday. That could also impact our air quality. So if you are one of those that suffer from any allergies or have any respiratory illnesses, you’ll certainly want to pay close attention to the forecast and how things play out in terms of that smoke. Also, it’s going to be hot and humid in the next couple of days.
